Activity 1: 1. Who are the characters? 2. What are they thinking? 3. What are they feeling? 4. What i the relationship between characters and the setting? 5. Whats about to happen? 6. What is the story about? 1. Four dirty young men resting outside the shoe factory. 2. They were probably exhausted and shocked to see something such as a camera. 3. Probably slight excitement but its clouded by their fatigue causing them to look stressed and unhappy. 4. The boys probably work inside the factory based on their clothing and cleanliness. 5. They are either going into work, on break, or leaving work based on their dirty clothes. 6. Even young men are forced to work hard in troubling times.
Activity 2: 1. What is the story? 2. How does each photograph contribute to the story? 1. In the first picture its two carnival workers who are thinking and contemplating what to do next on the task at hand. They may also be dead tired and be taking a quick break. It must be scorching hot because both workers have no shirts on and they're covered in dirt from working on a carnival ride. The story is more likely than not about two carnival workers who are working on a ride and showing a day in the life of the carnival workers. 2. The 4th picture is a guy inside his carnival booth waving and trying to attract customers to come over and try his game. The more people he can entice and bring in the more money that worker is going to make. He's probably feeling anxious trying to get all these people to come over and into the booth so he can make himself some money. The relationship between the character and setting is the carnival worker is trying to make some money via getting customers to play the game in his booth.

Activity 3: The story taking place is that there are many Vietnam veterans going to the shrine of remembrance . Each photo helps because there are many tiny details that play into the bigger picture. It shows the shrine itself, then an action shot of war, then some soldiers and medals which helps tie everything together. Photo- Vietnam Veterans at the shrine of remembrance..
Activity 4: The story is about a child whos looking into a coat hangar to check for monsters and then when the child turns around the coat hangar comes to life and picks up the kid. I think if I had to remove one pic to make it clearer and easier to communicate the message it would be the 4th picture because its probably the least important photo.
